The media get their information from various sources and they choose how they word/report things to push their narrative. They will interview some people and only play the clips that align with their agenda. For instance, during the Tamil family "flavour of the month" story, they only played interviews of people supportive of allowing them to stay. Had they interviewed and shown responses from people against them staying, it would not have suited their agenda.

Another example is the Aboriginal deaths in custody stories. Where are the reports on non-aboriginal deaths in custody? It seems that by only reporting on one side of a greater story, they are trying to push the implication that only Aboriginals die in custody. Those who cannot think outside the box are totally taken for a ride with this kind of strategy - you'll find them frantically posting on twitter about the horrors of our justice system.

Overall, trying to blame one person when there are many at fault is not wise.
