Not being in the industry I’d have thought it was positive.
I’d rather have BHP as a buyer of my concentrate atm than the Chinese. BHP must be a keener and more committed buyer of third party concentrate as a result of the deal I’d have thought. But they still wont be paying one cent more per pound than they have to will they?
A stronger chain to market bypassing a hostile and fickle middle party has to be safer in so much as WSA supplies through that chain, but with BHP about to start getting ore from MCR how much concentrate will they buy from WSA?
Is BHP going to increase refinery production as a result? Or just shift markets.
