The original statement by Anteo with the EuGenie ART was that they would detect the SARS-CoV-2 in the pre-symptomatic stage as the tests were substantially more sensitive than other existing tests. We could detect infections on day 2, while others were detecting infections on day 5.

According to our CEO, our ART was in the top 5 sensitive Antigen tests available.
The ART from Anteo is "top shelf" when compared to some that are being described as not being adequate or ones that can only test as symptomatic cases.
There is however a risk that Antigen tests get a bad reputation and our ART might be grouped into the same category as Emergency approved weaker tests, even though we had a PCR equivalency of Ct=32 from memory.

One of the comments for TGA approval was the concern that the existing antigen tests in general are not accurate enough.
Once some Antigen Tests move from Emergency Approval into being properly approved by a number of different agencies, we might become one of the very few that are acceptably close enough to accurately test pre-symptomatic cases.

The new Delta Strain becomes infectious much quicker than the Alpha and other strains and I am led to believe from an Epidemiologist that it creates a substantially greater viral load and there is information available suggesting this virus variant. The timeline for detection I would expect to have been reduced on when infections can be detected for top end tests like ours and the emergency approved lower grade Antigen tests.

Antigen testing essentially tests for the proteins that coat the virus so greater viral load should mean greater antigen test, albeit this is not an area of expertise for me.

From my perspective with the current Delta Strain or a future strain comes along that replicates even quicker than the Delta strain, 15 minute test results prior to a sporting event or any other group gathering commencing may become more valuable than turning up with a PCR result that was performed 24 hours beforehand.
