Just came through the international arrival terminal in Melbourne yesterday, coming back from NZ. I was quite surprised by the experience.
They've barricaded a section/side of the terminal for Australians returning from other countries (not green zones) I believe, using clear glass/plastic panels from the gates all the way through to the luggage collection. On the other side of the "fence", I saw many government officials in full PPE, testings/biohazards facilities all the way through, it looked like a horror/zombie movie. We were even told over the PA system on the plane and in the terminal, not to take any photos. Dutyfree didn't open, nor did all the shops at the arrival hall.
I have no doubts testing will be with us for a while yet, IMO 1-3 years at least.
