To my way of thinking , the fennestrated seal placed on the BTM is acting pretty much the sames as what a scab does on the smaller wounds, the difference being though, is that there are no skin stem cells there to allow the epidermis to grow itself to seal the wound, I wonder if there were any possibility of placing some skin cell material onto the BTM before the seal is placed on top of it,would that help in any way?
I do believe the redness they are seeing using BTM is actually an indication that the matrix being used is the best, the redder it is (due to more blood being present) compared to other matrixes the better?
