The chart I showed, therefore, is the historic "death" of one entity and its rebirth as another entity with the same name. IMU began "life" in its current form in Dec, 2013. (Thanks to those posters who advised me of the history of the ticker "IMU".).

The chart shows how IMU went through an early stage of weakness when Accumulation by "smart money" was occurring. Since then IMU has gone through a serties of rises and re-accumulation. That's "normal" behaviour for a stock going through a growth phase.
You'll notice how every "burst" to the upside has resulted in a fall back, where re-accumulation has occurred.
The chart is now going exponentially upwards, creating Zones of Market Inefficiency. Any previous Zones of Market Inefficiency in IMU have been follwed by a fall-back, when re-accumulation by the "smart money" occurred.
Zones of Market Inefficiency usually see times when the "crowd" enter the market. Eventually, the buying power of the "crowd" peters out, and the "smart money" re-accumulates (if they see more potential for upside). They, unlike the "crowd" don't show their hand - that's why they are the "smart money".
Zones of Market Inefficiency act like magnets, drawing the chart back into them. Eventually, they get filled in, allowing for another movement to the upside.
No one knows when an exponential move to the upside finishes. But they always end - and the ending is not pretty.
That's the history of all exponential movements - commonly called "bubbles".
