Hi @Joannie - thanks in his behalf; everyone used to say that - and i always got defensive and said 'he looks like himself' - later, when his hair was thinning, he had a similarity with John Cleese - he loved the series - and could do the 'funny walk' (German marching step) - I remember a party when another guy turned up who could also 'do the walk' and the two of them were clowning around. I do miss his good humour most of all . . . .

I remember when he was doing some brick-work on one of our homes, and he was outside, concrete mixer going; he had shouted for the girls to make him a coffee. He was ignored - no coffee was forthcoming - I was in the kitchen - eventually he came in in his working boots - saw the girls rivetted by a ballet show on TV; so - daintily - with finger tips only, he picked up his concrete encrusted shorts legs, lifted them like a ballet skirt and danced on tip-toes in front of the TV set - and pleaded: 'where is my coffee?" - fits of laughter . . . .

I am always looking for that kind of gentle humour in a man - not so easy and precious when found!

    go well
