The English and Americans at the end of WW11 decided that the Germans should run West Germant as a counter to the Russians who seized east Germany. The Brits and the Yanks weeded out Nazi s and the communists from the possible candidates to run Germany which in someway normalised the politics of that era and gave them a good start to grow their nation from the morally bankrupt Nazi regime.
