There is currently a national vaccination roll out going on during a pandemic which has the potential to kill tens of thousands of Australians. There is also mountains of miss information out there, some people deliberately spread lies and misinformation, others have been misled or are confused.
So the importance of getting the facts out there is extremely important, whether the vaccines reduce the severity of Covid-19 or not, is important information in the current situation. So whether a vaccinated person is in ICU or not is critical information in the current situation.
It is not relevant to any other viruses or vaccines, just Covid-19.
It doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't release info about flu deaths and whether they were vaccinated or not, it just means it isn't relevant here.
