That doesn't sound right. Banks consider credit cards fully drawn in the application process, standard practice for all lenders. That's because there is nothing stopping customers to draw that limit so it would be irresponsible for banks to lend without taking it into consideration. The same applies to BNPL. All BNPL are, and should be assessed the same way for the same reason. Nothing about this is surprising.
I would be very surprised if people don't close the account during the application process then reopen after as a couple of hotcopper posters have done. Unlikely this is having a material impact on Z1P or other BNPL for that matter.
