Gaston County Commission Meeting in Video 2 hours 30, page-73

I checked the signature count on the petition taking Gaston County by storm. This morning there were 1,840 signatures - just now the count is 1,846. This equates to less than 1% of the population of Gaston County.

The creators of the petition hope to reach a whopping 2,500 signatures to attract the attention of ‘Local News’. Given all the attention it has received, it has achieved that goal and more - however, when it comes down to it - I have to wonder if it has peaked and died out already? I mean, it’s been a few days now - and unless people have been living under a rock - I can’t see how the less than 1% will reach a significant number of the ‘everyone’ that doesn’t want the mine to proceed.

Perhaps at 6 people per day, it will have enough weight to accomplish blocking the project, just around the time the mine reaches end of life?

A few days of sunshine - it will go away, it always does!
