Either he is a good liar or this is going to be absolutely enormous. He doesn't strike me as a liar. Again I will draw a comparison between his rhetoric and that of guys like Steve Jobs.
They are trying to sell a whole way, not just a device.
Anyone who has seen Steven Sinek's TEDtalk on yotube about Why Apple is so huge would understand that this company is shooting for the stars. At worst I would guess it might only reach the stratosphere.
