    Odd he didn't apply for bail, especially considering that even if convicted, he may not have done any gaol time.

    My guess is that he'll be used as a test case. Right to demonstrate....right to assemble....right to ignore the 'move on' from the cops....right to resist arrest when in your own opinion you have done no wrong, etc.
