I bought $280,000 worth of Afterpay at an average of $15.78. I went through the ASIC drama, the Mickey Mouse drama, the regulation drama, the senate enquiry drama, the US trade war drama, the donald trump tweeting drama, the UBS $17 price target drama, the PayPal drama and the covid drama. There is always drama. I remember having huge drama with my Apple shares I sell covered calls on during the trade war….and yet here I am.

The only reason I had to sell a few of my APT is because I breached the 1.6m balance cap in my super. I was only alerted to this because the ATO sent me a letter. I just stopped looking because it was ruining my mental state.

I had faith in myself, I lived my life. I’m 34, own my own house, and I’m now done with the bullshit corporate life. My wife only works 2-3 days a week because she wants to. I’m spending time with my old retired neighbour because I want to learn actual skills.

I was a lawyer, yet I couldn’t fix a hole in a gyprock wall. Embarrassing. Now I’ve re-trenched a yard to help with drainage, painted, helped make a shed and decking and am looking forward to my first kid I can actually spend time with.
