Well their explanation does not quite stack up.

Yes in a sense it does but in a slight way it does not.

As I pointed out earlier they are saying in the dark print the "Inferred OWC level is -12,299' " and they have the light pink covering the area between the -12,300' contour (therefore below the OWC level of -12,299' and therefore most likely to be "under water" or water saturated) and the -12,250 contour.
Areas above -12,250' are in dark pink and I would presume that is to indicate that they are pretty certain that those areas defined as above that contour are unlikely to be affected by any water.

Areas between the -12,300 depth contour and the -12,250' cannot be confidently assessed as less like to be affected by water in my opinion.

Unless they have absolutely stunning seismic over every single inch (and I am no expert on this) but unless they have it pretty precise the potential for areas below -12,250' to be below the -12,299 OWC must be there anywhere in that zone.
The rise from the -12,300' contour through to the -12,250 contour will not be uniform and therfore there is the potential for anywhere in that zone between the two contours to be below the OWC level.

That is my take on the reason for the two colours. I could be totally wrong but it does have some logic about it.

After all why have they now suggested possible development wells which appear to be aimed primarily at portions of the Miogyp which they have identified as falling into the areas above the -12,250' contour (dark pink areas)

    I rest my case !
