it IS simply a matter of behaviour and consuming resources
eg. --- a house has a man and a woman in it.
the bloke has a few pairs of shoes - one pr. slippers, one pr. going out, one pr. yard work
ditto shirts, pants, coats etc.
the woman has 100 tops, 100 dresses or skirts, 300 items in bathroom draws and cupboards, 50 pairs of shoes
at each shopping trip - buys more shoes and more clothes.
the bloke gets maybe some socks and undies each year and a shirt and pants every two years - new shoes every few years.
the bloke uses a couple of sheets and one pillow
the woman has 15 sets of bed linen - 20 decorative pillows and 25 chairs and 3 tables
the planet can afford to have about 20 blokes for each woman in that case and still suffer the same usage
it's purely behaviour and abuse of resources
it's absolutely crystal clear that western nations are the biggest users of planetary resources due to their consumerism and materialism
it's not population --------------- it's abuse

Yep, and the bloke buys everything from sports cars, motorbikes, watercraft, camper-caravan-4wd and all the incredible amount of associated equipment marketed to him in order to make his experience better.
The man is every bit as much the consumer in Aus as a woman if not more.
