@Stellowe An interesting new thread comes to mind after reading your post. The thread could be called #metoo. We often think, that we are the only ones who make mistakes. I believe ALL investors have been in a similar position like you. A position where we question our decision making process. A position where we doubt and question ourselves or even worse, feel shame, the most corrosive of all emotions. Whilst it is normal to initially feel those emotions, it is probably not very constructive and healthy to hold on too long to those doubts and feelings. However in those initial moments of doubt, there are also buried the seeds of learning opportunities and their worth is incalculable.
They way I read your post, you grab the learning opportunities with both hands. You accept yourselves warts and all. You don't blame other posters, your broker or friends for your investment decisions. You (MAYBE) made the mistake - however the race is not over, far from it! in this process you have learn to cope and manage your anxiety/depression, which in an increasingly complex world are incredible tools to have.
The Greek philosopher Epicurus said something along the lines of "happiness is not measured by the things you have but by the measure of your enjoyment of the things you have". Keep enjoying your loved ones and friends, enjoy the silence and riot during your meditations, have fun when you challenge your body and mind and hopefully the time will come when you enjoy your investment too.
