The lead time for nuclear is now so long I don't think it will be very long before it is totally uneconomic. I have also been reading about peak uranium, believe it or not! Seems like all the cheap high grade reserves are gone and the rest may be uneconomical to mine, in both financial and net energy terms. Anyway, my opinion is that if you are not prepared to have either a uranium mine or a nuclear power plant or even worse, a toxic waste dump in your own backyard then it is extremely hypocritical for anyone to say they are pro nuclear.

Happy to have a CETO wave farm in my own backyard... although there aren't many 1m+ waves in the bay off St. Kilda!
