What a few weeks have been for ZIP share holders. Honestly, my respect grew for Larry and when he mention about retail base and how they are planning to improve communications with us. With all the noise going around, i ploughed into glassdoor comparing ZIP and APT employees review about the company. Z1P was mile ahead . The most significant differences were engineering department /technology stack and company culture with good talent selections. This indicates environment within ZIP is great which often is precursor of company future prospects. The number of positions they are opening especially in engineering department is mind blowing. I know share prices won't reflect all these right now but in the long term , I'm confident ZIP will overtake Afterpay. one employee framed After pay as Marketing machine rather than FinTech company and i sort of agree with him. If you ask people who use both ZIP and APT, their experience with ZIP is much better than afterpay so no wonder ZIP has more returning and engaging customers. ZIP mission is beyond BNPL; they want to be number one payment system which in itself is a big ambition . Therefore I decided to ignore all the noise about August report , competition and hold ZIP for long term.
