Yes, I know about land clearing in Europe for the purposes of building wind farms.
I know that the EU has placed bans on Amazon wood being imported into their areas to take away profits from logging these area’s. Funny thing about this policy is that it has the completely opposite effect as to what you may think. The clearing continues because the main purpose is not for lumber but farmland, all that potential stored Co2 is just pushed into piles and burnt instead of being turned into a valued product.
These fires are doing what to our air quality?
Another thought that isn’t a good idea but the muppets only see what they want to see, never think past the headline at the follow on repercussions.
