I arrived on the scene at the commencement of WE2. Purely by chance when researching seismic. Announcements at the time were highly detailed trying to illustrate the likely impending success of WE2. Around the time I was following Roc Sth 1 drill in the Bedout basin. This well was to be in communication with an existing discovery nearby, unfortunately didn't pan out that way. I agree there is likely gas there at SE but personally not convinced it is in contact with WE2 just yet. I'll let the drill do the talking.
I do wonder about WE3 though. That has been turned into a semi positive even though there really isn't too much in the way of results. The fanfare suggested big things if we went back. I wonder if it is a let sleeping dogs lie type situation. Better to have a semi positive than have it turn to a negative. Dukas in the Amadeus Basin hit an overpressure zone a couple of years back and nothing has happed since the rig packed up and left.
All just some random thoughts on a Sunday morning.
