I was impressed with how Obama came out the day before the whiz bang employment report with that "mission accomplished" speech and the next day, with the employment report, came "confirmation".

Surely Obama didn't get the good oil on the employment situation before its release and then have that speech crafted accordingly? And surely, Obama wouldn't have gone out on a limb the day before the employment report's release unless he knew it would not be a shocker?

Had to shake my head to ensure I wasn't dreaming over all that.

I used to have a mate who used to work at Merrill Lynch - that was before he robbed me - and he told me years ago how much he loved the market and then called it the most widespread example of organised crime in society.

Makes me wonder....
