When I am investing in speculative Gold and Silver miners as an example, this G&A (General and Administrative costs -> aka. salaries and related discretionary spend) question is focused on and queried by the savvy investors. I listen to how management explains this.
ALL of the speculative mining stocks with strong management keep the G&A tight until they put serious runs on the board.
BNL management has been underpaid actually. But, they need to explain the recent salary raises in comparative terms to other strong managed businesses of similar nature and sector/size.
ALL GOOD CEOs of small start up mining companies I have observed jump on this question and explain why G&A is what it is. They are forward and up front showing respect for the question/
Again, just by communicating effectively, you do not eliminate your status as a risk asset, but you De-Risk your proposition to investors by showing your plan, talking about how low your G&A is relevant to the status of the business including being VERY careful and "Shareholder Accretive" with capital raising.
This mob has done NONE of this. Where is the CEO? Where is the management?
