I don't know if anyone has put up this potential scenario yet. But here goes:
SPP to get 2 shares and 1 free option for 60 cents.
Instead of exercising the option, one could trade it as well. If the share price should rise exponentially due to great news, then the chances are the free option could well trade at over 60 cents price. In such a scenario, if one were to sell the option for more than 60 cents on market, then that 2 shares could well become a free
Initially, I was not going to go for the SPP, but seeing the above potential, I think I will apply for my quota now. I certainly see the share price trading above $1 in time to come. Hopefully it happens before strike date. Then I can sell the option at above 60 cents, and get the 2 shares that come with it for free
