not a surprise if it's true - after a plane bris to cairns is a contact
god knows who's driven to Cairns either - remember our right wing boneheads always talking about EV range anxiety because they seem to think that most Aussies do at least one trip a week to Cairns or cross the Nullarbor every week
the number of kids that are coming in from Qld in this outbreak is very scary - I don't think most people recognise the significance of this -
this is so vastly different to what all other places have had - including UK, Italy, US etc.. (possibly not Indonesia)
basically - we've treated kids as safe ---------- these early numbers say that kids are anything but safe --------- and, if this keeps up - it will totally change the way lockdowns are run IMO
"Nine of the 16 new cases are students.
One of the new cases is connected to Indooroopilly State High School, four cases have been recorded at Brisbane Grammar School and two cases are linked to Brisbane Girls Grammar School.
A further three cases are linked to Ironside State School, five cases are household or family contacts of already confirmed cases, and one case is the neighbour of a known case."
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-08...ockdown-cases-delta-school-outbreak/100343076to be honest - I'd be hoping to see a lot more adult cases come in to make these numbers look a bit like what we're used to - because if kids levels remain like this ----------- we are in far far far deeper poop than we ever were before IMO
'Don't go anywhere near your grandkids'by god is that an understatement or what!!
