A bit of a one sided bet Bill, I doubt the other party would have your integrity and pay up.

I probably should wait for the market to open before posting this, as it'll reduce the possibilities (below) now the exclusive period has expired.

Anyone who follows this company will know the discussions are ongoing and they had intended to get the JV done within the exclusive period, but now will be hopefully just slightly delayed. I can see one of 3 possibilities going forward (hate that term)

1 We enter a trading halt prior to open
2 An announcement is put out saying the discussions are nearing completion
3 Nothing

In the 3rd case (which I think is likely) I believe Roly would put an update out if this was going to drag on a bit. If they are very close to an agreement, he probably wouldn't put an announcement out but just wait (I'm talking less than a week) for the deal to be signed & released. After all this period was not a deadline.
