I was reading an article yesterday and it had some interesting figures. The thrust of the article was the declining resources held by the world top gold miners and the likely rise in gold prices as a result. What caught my eye was the cost of acquisition of resources at US$245.50 per ounce and discovery at US$96 an ounce. At the acquisition figure BC8 is worth over A$300M for resources alone. Their stated cost of discovery and acquisition is A$15 an ounce, and they are still drilling away at speed expecting to discover more. All for a market cap of A$87M. Am I missing something?
