I have never let anyone else have a say in what I do with my money. If they knew what they were talking about why are they still working. If I'm gonna lose it (or win it) prefer to do it myself. My accountant was trying to convince me to do a margin loan, 5 minutes before the GFC. I wouldn't. He ended up blowing $1mm. That was enough to convince me to ignore the so called 'advisers.'
