Wake up!!!!...Global warming is a very slow process The problem is that by the time we've convinced the last skeptic than Greenland was not full of green forests 1000 years ago & that global warming is not caused sunspot activity etc it will be far too late.
Kyoto is 17 years ago - if anyone could have given scientific credibility to the global warming was an illusion then the Bush Administration would have paid them Billions, because Global Warming was very "inconvenient" for them - & they were the richest government in the world - instead the best they could muster was the same propaganda machine used by the tobacco lobbyists - The problem is that this time the cost of delay is worse than the countless deaths from smoke related illnesses. The stakes are much higher this time if we get fooled by the same diversions and obsification
Look we all have biases but don't let your biases ruin the world we give our children - it is a classic case of the boiling frog phenomenon - it creeps up so slowly that it will only be obvious after its too late e.g if we reach the tipping point the oceans won't absorb the C02, reduced ice lead to more warming the extra warming will melt the permafrost etc etc positive re-inforcement will take hold
There is no conspiracy of the powerful against the poor - no world order coming to invade the US - we don't need to make these bogeymen up but there is just a slow insidious process occuring as we burn the fossil fuel reserves of the Earth that has built up over millions of years in little more than 100 years
