Currently UCM shows me an 80% loss, based on the return of other investment in the SMSF over the past two years. Eg, 40% gain in SMSF versus 40% loss on UCM. It is the worst stock I own and of course, you can't get them all right. An old saying is buy 5 stocks, one will tank, 2 will do nothing, 1 will do well and you will make all your money on the 5th stock. Well for me, UCM is the one that has tanked. The stop loss is a great mechanism to reinvest in your own winners. I like Bingo's enthusiasm on UCM, and hope he is correct. Just can't see it happening, unfortunately.
