Hi Peter Pumpkinhead,
Thank you for your feedback.
I'm not out to convince anyone but merely to share some chart patterns that I thought would be interesting to members of the forum. I understand exactly what you are trying to say and accept what you have said wholeheartedly with respect to the charting I have presented.
However, I believe the chart posted has met the objectives of showing the chart patterns working in synergy to provide resistance around this time. It was not meant for any other purpose and I do not feel the need to prove this and that where it does not relate to the purpose of the charting. It is also not the purpose of the chart to illustrate how cycles can be statistically useful etc etc.
As to your question about the yellow line, if I had just use the yellow cycle itself, I would have been accused of finding a cycle that fits the trend and ignoring all other cycles that do exist. What I have done is to plot all the sine waves involved in the Hurst technique - warts and all.
It sounds almost the case of : Plot one cycle, you are damn. Plot all cycles, you are damned:)
Anyway, thanks for your feedback. If I make a post to show cycles are statistically useful, I'll make sure I post a long term chart over many years of data, ok?
Cheers...
