yeah. so if you own a house in Sydney worth that much, and your job pays 100k odd a year, and your house is appreciating 100k odd a year, you can go to an accountant and ask to be registered as a sophisticated investor. and from what I hear, accountants rarely say no.
it's considered a big problem in some circles and people want the guidelines changes because they were made before Sydney real estate got as stupid as it has.
