Unless some pressure for a real debate 'one that is free of ideology, and where controversial arguments can be openly debated' as the German scientists are suggesting, there will be nothing to stop the politicians in the developed countries to go ahead with everything Al Gore says. It's such a big hurry unfortunately - no time to research properly, to establish why the hypothesis is not working in the last 8-10 years...
That's what the scientists are suggesting to Mrs Merkel:
“Do you not believe, Madam Chancellor, that science entails more than just confirming a hypothesis, but also involves testing to see if the opposite better explains reality? We strongly urge you to reconsider your position on this subject and to convene an impartial panel for the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, one that is free of ideology, and where controversial arguments can be openly debated. We the undersigned would very much like to offer support in this regard.
Being in such a big hurry to tax and carbon cap, no one seems to be in the same hurry to investigate how is the new tax/market going to affect the inflation/deflation problem (after the rise in the energy costs therefore all the products) - are we ready for that shock? Any computer models? Or we'll just wait and see ...
