    right pricing the risk is the issue, and i can't get a handle on it.

    i have cut back on crop area, but gone higher risk on a lot of what is sown. taken hectare price contracts on high risk legumes,tied into closed loop marketing with high risk niche oilseeds. bit of niche cereal,and a try at malt barley for the rest.

    low risk,low return stock has taken up the majority of the rest. [but even four thousand dollars a tonne is pretty good for lamb,and i got six thousand dollars a tonne for one draft.]

    i am a district laughing stock for the decrepit state of my plant,but big investments in depreciating machinery is an exposure to an uncertain future i am not comfortable with.----and my tax pays the drought subsidies for the new machinery buyers.
