When you buy shares, you don't technically own them until settlement has taken place. The ASX runs on a T+2 method which means trade date +2 days. With Wednesday being the ex-entitlement date you would have had to buy on Friday to be eligible. There was never any point after the shares traded again that would have entitled anyone to the capital raise.
