50% by 2030 probably means 90%, because who is going to buy the old tech. The target is for light vehicles including small trucks/vans. Put some legislation behind the target and ICE is done and dusted by 2030 IMO.
Anyways, US light vehicle annual sales are ~17mill units, so 8.5 mill EV's is larger the the worldwide sales of EV's today, therefore big (bring forward) demand pull, including the required development and M&A needed to make that happen.
Very good to be a producer (an expanding one at that), another 9 years of heaven on a stick...
