I am extremely confident, and have listed my reasonings below:

    - If an announcement was going to come in September or October, why wouldnt GJ have just stayed on until then. What is another couple of months, when he is healthy enough commit to GBG for another 12 months.

    - SDL have always said that they would make an announcement mid year as shown on their timelines and I have not been given any reason to think otherwise.

    - I believe that their finance department has completed some form of work in Cameroon as of today. I am not exactly sure what this work entailed.

    - The recent advert for a Site Operations Super Intendent suggests that they are continuing to plan for the long haul. Although I havent got clarification and can't find anything on the net, I am lead to believe that they recently filled a "Country Manager" position.

    - When Ken Talbot invested a further $5 Million a few months ago, he must have been confident that negotiations were going to plan.

    - If you take a look at the share price chart, you will notice that it has been steadily working up to something.

    - Earlier today there were over 6,500,000 shares traded at 19c, which appeared to be in one hit. This works out to be about $1.3 million dollars. Someone must have been confident, considering that 19c is quite high compared to last few days trading.

    - SDL have stopped marketing the project for some time. No recent presentations, no participation at recent events. This leads me to believe that they have secured a partner and no longer require the need to sell.

    - The Cameroon government have been putting pressure on things to happen sooner rather then later. SDL will not be trying to delay the process.

    - The latest quarterly report stated that they would be purchasing a new drill rig. This indicates that they either don't have a strategic partner yet and need to do more drilling, or they have a strategic partner and they can afford to continue their exploration duties. I am leaning towards the later.

    - SDL leaks like a rusty vessel. If there was any doubt that everything was not going to plan, I am sure that it would get out. They have signed confidentiality agreements so this will no doubt slow the flow of information, however it will not prevent it 100%. Note that the stock continues to trend upwards.

    - Well before mid year there were articles about China wanting to secure their iron ore and that has continued right up through to now, strengthening the possibility of the deal being signed.

    - SDL is just one of those stocks that just seems to turn around as soon as everyone starts getting cold feet. Take a look what happened when Ken injected that $5 million. Take a look when GJ announced his retirement. Now we are getting closer to the date, there are a lot of people starting to doubt whether it will happen. This fear is consistent with previous events.
