The 4DS tech is not there to solve the current chip shortage--it is there to be developed further from a successful Megabit Array to viable market product(s) over the next 1-2 years to meet the growing demand of the nonvolatile SCM domain.
The plan has been to take the 4DS product to a certain stage, then sell the product to those looking to get into the this market.
It's been a long wait as the company only releases what it has to to satisfy ASX requirements etc, the actual metrics being kept very much in-house to made available when necessary to genuine interested parties.
We are at the pointy end now after some 10 years of development work
