Not sure if I have posted this on the CAI threads, but for those that enjoy a macro article from time to time, this is perhaps one of the best I have read in the past 12 months.

Russell is arguably one of the premier macro strategists. Until last year, he was in the deflation camp for... decades.

On other matters, with CAI now being cashed up, we are sadly likely to see less brokerage coverage, because... well, the scavengers have nothing to chase in the near term.... (CAI website has the last report from back in April).

I chose CAI for many reasons, many of which I have posted about before. Yet, what continues to make it easier to ignore the gyrations of the USD POG, is CAIs low projected AISC. Whilst it is all well and good to have money in higher cost producers, they also come with the added risk of being much less profitable, when POG falls. None of this is financial advice, just the musings of a fellow investor.

Over the last 3 months or so, I have pruned, and pruned and.... guttered my portfolio of all but the very best stocks I follow on the ASX. On balance, the ASX provides the best value, on average, than CAN/US markets by far. Sweating the list so to speak, is cathartic for me, though of course, in the short term, there are always a few that out perform just after I have exited

Upon looking across the sector, CAI is the only fully funded 100k p.a. producer on the ASX (happy to be proven wrong of course). (Though I can think of one other, that is... sort of up there, but... it's in PNG and I have no time for such high level political risk). Investors have few choices if they want exposure to a pure gold play.

Good luck to all holders. Monday will be annoying to watch, but... for those that have been in the sector for a while (or forever), its just another day
