I would be very reluctant to be even thinking about building the TPF at the Mt Peake site. I believe they would come up against the same group that made it so difficult to get the Mt Peake mine EIS approved and signed off. They are the Arid Lands Environment Centre. I think the environment is simply the excuse they use to try and stop all or any development at all. They are more anti development than they are pro environment. I also think that they are the group that have been most active in stopping the DPF. Even though Darwin is not in the arid lands area, I am sure they are the ones that have been agitating the NTEPA more than anyone. Their plan would be to stop the DPF and this will stop the development at Mt Peake. Google their web - site Arid Lands Environment Centre.
