Whilst the cost base will naturally rise given the increased royalty fees payable due to
increasing export coal pricing, the reduced cost base enables BA to sustain strong
margins at long run coal prices and capitalise on market upturns, which are currently
being experienced.
So it appears costs are on the rise.
