i was on the phone just then to my broker and was advised that the share register is cracking down on people applying for more than 1 lot and that they will cancel both if they catch you.

Can they do this??? I dont want to risk my mate getting everything cancelled but then again it could be a bluff.

I would think they are legally entitled to cancel all your applications if you try to apply for more than $15K. You can make multiple applications, but the aggregate must be not more than $15K.

If you look at the application form, you will see that by submitting the application you are certifying that the aggregate application price paid by you for all of your applications as part of this SPP and the 2008 SPP does not exceed $15K.

So I would think that providing false information would be sufficient grounds to cancel the application, should they chose to do that.
