Having said the above from all my reading the use of the term DNN does not exclude SNN. DNN is widely used in a generic fashion.
Remember this area where Brainchip is playing is cutting edge and terminology is still very fluid. Even Vorago converted SCNN to RNNCNN and it is working with Brainchip.
If you Google SCNN you will get at least half a dozen different interpretations. The Chinese are very good at changing the word S stands for in SCNN. Sparse CNN is a common use for example.
So always need to dig deeper before you rule in or out something you find if all you have is the letters.
