I have a theory that each trader's approach to the market is established by where they find success in the first few weeks of their careers. I started near the end of the dot.com bear market. Read all the books, set my breakout alerts and suffered one losing trade after another. Never really got over that. Discovered I could make money easier by buying pullbacks. I usually look for simple retraces in rising stocks. CNJ is an outlier. You're right, it's a falling knife and I shouldn't be surprised to make peanuts.
