The Covid Delta situation in Israel is suddenly grim, according to a long interview this morning on ABC RN. Delta was brought in by children from overseas who didn’t quarantine and weren’t vaccinated.
Now Delta is spreading rapidly among young people - who are mostly unvaccinated.
(Also it’s now clear in Israel that vaccination protection falls off rapidly after 9-12 months and booster vaccs are needed. Delta’s high viral loads and much higher transmissibility than earlier variants, especially among younger people who are not seriously ill from it make it ‘a whole new all game’.)
It remains to be seen whether this will affect AKP’s demo plans….
