Had a good chat with the Company today. Everything is going well under demanding circumstances i.e. covid .
We talked about page 14 0f their presentation on 16 July. A truly important and relevant slide.
I will summarize:-
Bullet point 1. - China's coal usage will start declining in 5 years.........Yes , China is still increasing its output by building more Coal fired power stations.
Bullet point 2. - China's gas usage will increase by 40% by 2030........... That is staggering. That is only a 'few' years away.
Bullet point 3. - China's Inner Mongolia, almost adjacent to EXR's permit across the border needs urgent attention re coal emissions........People are dying . They can't breathe properly. Gas can solve that.
Bullet point 4. - Chinese imports of LNG from Australia are not falling...for now. ........Fortunately. Like iron ore, China needs LNG from everywhere it can get it. And let's not forget that it was only relatively recently that China sanctioned a new $10 billion dollar CSG project in Queensland. It is obvious.... they need as much gas as they can get.
Bullet point 5.- Russian reserves/production under scrutiny . .....Trouble looming ...the price of LNG is going up.
Thought I would share these bullet points. As I said earlier, this 16/7 EXR preso is definitely worth a read.
