Yeah...this is an interesting issue and only the true geologists would know some of the answers. I guess the companies/geos do not want to give too much away in case their interpretations are relied upon and turn out to be wrong. But it would be wonderful to hear some "off the record" comments from either the WPL or HDR technical experts.

I was also encouraged by the slide on Dorade. In there it stated that there are a number of other prospects in the block just waiting for the results/interpretation of Dorade to be explored further. My interpretation of this is that failure of Dorade is not a significant negative because it is in a new region and will provide very valuable geological data for reinterpretation of seismic. BUT, if it is a success then it will reinforce the existing geological model and significantly "upgrade" the other identified leads...ie. major upside, low downside.
