Just getting that post off the TA thread.

Not many new producers close to production afaik.
There's a brine co about a 100 kms north of SDV that is currently constructing the first module of their commercial plant, to be in production next year. A smallish first stage, but modular design and the plan is to rapidly expand to 12ktpa, then possibly more.
I'm not going to cross-promote and mention who they are, but they are indeed a quiet achiever just getting it done.




They are no threat to GXY, the world will need all the Li that all of us can produce, and then some.

There are plenty of other "vocal" companies around, as we all know, with their resources (some rather nice resources btw), but the harsh reality is that they need to deliver and prove a reliable and viable commercial-scale processing solution, which is MUCH harder than many of them realise, imo. There is no simple or quick transition from lab samples to commercial production; it is a long tough road this specialty chemical processing game.

Can't wait for SDV to get cranking, hopefully they will go straight to the 32ktpa project, as they have suggested might be on the cards.
2022 is shaping up to be BIG year in this space, that's for sure.
