But isn’t that logic correct to a certain point, suppose if Coal hypothetically was at US$1000/t wouldn’t that force countries to move to alternative sources of energy most probably gas, nuclear or renewables as it would be cheaper.
Why would any country want Coal at those hypothetical prices, better off putting that money to better use and building nuclear power plants which provide a reliable source of energy and one that is clean.
