I have posted a map of the wells from the Snatcher Charo area using the excellent pirsa SARIG online database
http://www.pir.sa.gov.au/minerals/sarig
This is an excellent sourse of information for the professional and the layman
From this map on can conclude
Charo 4 is well to the north of C1 and C2 so was a true step out appraisal which was dry with oil shows
Charo 5 the recently cased and suspended oil well is be much closer to existing discoveries and is between C3 and C1. So this was more like a development location for drainage.
Charo 6 and 7 - are locations with spud dates unknown to me with C6 putting a drainage point between C3 and S1 while C7 looks to appraise the field to the south
Snatcher 1 is truly near the border of the Charo production licence
Snatcher 2 (and C5) are not updated for status yet but we know from press releases that is was cased as an oil discovery. Of all the wells it is the farthest away from the initial discovery of Charo 1 (circa 1982) and extends oil (same pod - different pod? - no way to tell) far to the NW.
It also is snuggled up to a lake which is undoubtably why the spud was delayed to get the surface pad ready for drilling.
I suggest anyone who has not used SARIG to give it a go for other areas in South Australia you are interested in.
